The "first person" mode was just a side project done by a dev for the fun of it, if I remember correctly. It wasn't something that was done to be a fully featured way to play the game. It was shared because the dev had fun. If you search past interviews/dev livestreams that is where I believe I remember the bit of that information is from, but it has been a few years. Not sure they will go back to it to implement your request, because it wasn't a project that was directed to be done for the game originally.
It had interesting results in the past, where people could see the eyes and mouths of the sim they were in direct control over at times. Many players forget that mode even exists. Personally, I don't remember how to get into the mode and actually dislike when I accidentally trigger it.
