That idea of a dirt trim is a great suggestion. I place a pond around a pool to make it look like a swimmable pond. I use the move objects cheat to place a lot of foliage, things like water lilies and rocks around to disguise the edging. The best rocks and plants for this are found with the debug cheat IMO (bb.showhiddenobjects and bb.showliveeditobjects). But a dirt trim or a more rocky trim would be useful.
