Suggestions for Improvements to Adventure Awaits Ep
The Getaway system is nice, but I do think there should be some quality-of-life improvements that should be implemented.
Main Activities for Staff Roles
As I was playing, I found it hard to set the main activity per time slot, because the Sims I set as staff, such as maids or bartenders, would prefer doing that activity or socializing rather than what I actually set their activities to.
It would be better if their individual set of activities would override the main activity. There's also a mod that adds a no socializing activity, which helps with this. It would be nice if that were officially added, or having activities such as cleaning or bartending had less socializing.
Spa Activities for Custom Venues
I saw that Simmers were saying that the tend message table/chair activity was missing from the list of options, but it was stated that you can have a Getaway at an actual spa. As I tested it out, it seemed really hard for the Sims at the Getaway to finish their set activities. Maybe because so many Sims were trying to come to the lot already. I also noticed the Spa staff made it hard for Sims to sleep at the fastest speed, since they're always staffed 24/7.
I don't see why a tend message table/chair can't be added to custom venues, as there's a tend bar option too. It would be easier to do spa activities if the spa staff showed up and left at certain times, like any other staff role. Therefore, it makes it easier to send Sims to sleep and have the Getaway run more smoothly in general.
Ability to have Events on Custom Venues while on a Getaway
Not being able to have an event such as a wedding at the custom venue while on a Getaway was a disappointment.
It would have been nice to have had the ability to have a wedding on a romantic getaway, or at the very least, an activity to attend weddings. So that the Sims you take on a Getaway can attend the wedding, or maybe an option on the wedding arch to invite Sims to attend the wedding.
Adjustment to Eat Activity and Draggable Food
I noticed that Sims would try and cook their own food when having the Eat Activity. I also noticed that the food that is made can't be dragged to a table; instead of always going into build mode to place the food in a more proper location where Sims aren't crowding in the kitchen.
Sims with the Eat activity shouldn't try to cook or eat quick meals from the fridge, as there's a separate option for eating snacks. Also, Sims trying to flood the kitchen by trying to cook is a major problem when the chef is trying to. The meals that are made need to be draggable so counter space can be reserved for the chef to make more food, and so Sims don't flood the kitchen. Lastly, the spa mini "fridge" shouldn't be a functional fridge, as Sims are always trying to cook from it, when it should be only for the face masks. Another issue with that is that Sims not in the household will always try to get you to buy them a face mask.
That's all I can think of for now, but if there are any other suggestions you guys have, please leave a comment.
