now idk about all of you but sims 4 is really lacking in INSTRUMENTS. sims 4 only contains the piano, the pipe organ, the guitar and the violin. sims 3 however contained the guitar, piano, drums, bass, violin and laser rhythm-a-con. so personally id LOVE some more instruments, the drums and maybe delve into ones we've never seen in game before like a flute, trumpet, saxophone or some more uncommon ones like bag pipes! i would LOVE for my sim to be camping in nature and just vibe out with her flute in the middle of a mushroom circle wouldn't you?
We have half the instruments to start a band. The only things missing are the heart of every music genre out there, DRUMS and BASS! How awesome would it be them to have these items so our sims can live up to their wild eyes dreams of becoming a real band! Just my two cents on something that should be added ASAP!
@Morbid_OG I was just telling someone that I wish we had drums in the game! 😅 (Bass would also be fantastic!) And I want to be able to form groups to either be hired for gigs or to at least busk as a group! (And it would also be wonderful if we had bass guitar and a stand-up double bass! 🥳 I went ahead and clicked on the Me Too button for this!
- @PugLove888 Yeah, I know there are mods for PC that add it. However, I'm on console so I'm at the mercy of EA. Maybe they can add a pack "Get Famous 2" 🙂
@Morbid_OG yes, even though I'm on PC I still don't use Mods. But at least in my case it is by choice and I have the knowledge that if I want to, I can change this at any time! I do feel bad for console players for this reason.😔
But they could have a Stuff or Game Pack that could be centered around bands. 😊

If "The Band" pack was created, I would be all over that! Always wanted to set up a stage in lounges and bars and have sims come do live performances, or my own sim get into a band and perform. How this hasn't been created yet, seems crazy to me. 😮
Maybe something to do with game limitations on how many sims can be on lot at any given time.
5 band members, a bartender and a bouncer means the attending audience would be on the smaller side.
@zoiee2020 , the # amount of people on a lot is a good guess, so you bring up an excellent probable reason as to why they haven't done this yet. But I think most of us would rather the ability to play in a band or hire one for an event, than to have a lot of guests, especially at a lounge. Hiring a band would have also been nice for Proms in the HSY pack! 🥳
- @PugLove888 Well, also might have something to do with group interactions. Trying to get a group of Sims to do anything, can be frustrating at best.
5 Cheerleaders to do a routine on cheer night? Nope. 2 decided they want to go do something in the school instead.
5 go do a dance routine on the dance floor? 3 have routing issues and don't make it before the other 2 start without them.
5 to do yoga practice? They all start going to the mats, 1 decides their hungry and walks away. Another comes to the mat, only to leave and play video games instead.
lol .. you get the picture.
Maybe there are lot limitations, which I think is 20. But I'd still be happy with an audience of 3 people lol. I'd be opting for a 3 piece band myself, I have my Les Claypool sim created and waiting 😉
@zoiee2020 me too, and not just bars and lounges, real big shows, in a big stage while your band reputation grow.
