French and Italy are quite different, don't think that mixing them together in a pack would be helpful. Separately, they would be great, though, as they are large countries and offer lot of inspiration. A city neighbourhood, a countryside and a beach side neighbourhood for each world would be great. This way we could have a bit of everything, from busy city, to relaxed countryside and vacation vibe beach area inspired by the southern regions. Loved the chateau and Vespa bike in TS3, would love to have that back. Would also love a derelict chateau my sims could restore and then run it as a B&B.

I can appreciate your position when the position is that you don't think EA would give either world the justice it is due. I actually agree, I don't think that the Sims 4 Worlds are as fun or as thorough and Sim 3 ones regardless of how many Worlds they put into it. However my purpose is to make these types of suggestion, make them extremely detailed, and see what comes of it. I figure the more we do the footwork the more we might see a good chunk of what we suggest. Truthfully I don't think this iteration of the Sims will ever be as good no matter what they put into it because they just wont get on board with two things, pack integration and refreshing older packs to improve them and fill in their blanks to make them more enjoyable and work with newer content.

I really like all of these suggestions, and would just request that, in the same way as current worlds are reminiscent of real places but also not, that these vacation destinations also be Simified versions that are not actually France and Italy by name, but evocative of them. That would mean giving up having exact depictions of real-world landmarks, but I could imagine fictional versions that would be creative and interesting instead. The main reason I say this is because I think it makes sense for The Sims to be its own world, and not to suggest (any more than has already been done) that there is a 'real world' that exists alongside it. I know there are references to various real countries in item and food descriptions, but I've always taken those as more being for the benefit of players to know what something is supposed to reference. It works better, from the universe of the game, if all the places that exist in The Sims world just exist in that world, rather than trying to imagine that there is a SimNation and then a few countries over is real France, etc.As far as other vacation destinations, I'll just echo what others have said and request continents and regions that we haven't seen yet (Middle East, Africa, Australia), as well as perhaps interstellar or time-travel-based destinations that are more fantastical.

French and Italy are quite different, don't think that mixing them together in a pack would be helpful. Separately, they would be great, though, as they are large countries and offer lot of inspiration. A city neighbourhood, a countryside and a beach side neighbourhood for each world would be great. This way we could have a bit of everything, from busy city, to relaxed countryside and vacation vibe beach area inspired by the southern regions. Loved the chateau and Vespa bike in TS3, would love to have that back. Would also love a derelict chateau my sims could restore and then run it as a B&B.

I really like all of these suggestions, and would just request that, in the same way as current worlds are reminiscent of real places but also not, that these vacation destinations also be Simified versions that are not actually France and Italy by name, but evocative of them. That would mean giving up having exact depictions of real-world landmarks, but I could imagine fictional versions that would be creative and interesting instead. The main reason I say this is because I think it makes sense for The Sims to be its own world, and not to suggest (any more than has already been done) that there is a 'real world' that exists alongside it. I know there are references to various real countries in item and food descriptions, but I've always taken those as more being for the benefit of players to know what something is supposed to reference. It works better, from the universe of the game, if all the places that exist in The Sims world just exist in that world, rather than trying to imagine that there is a SimNation and then a few countries over is real France, etc.

As far as other vacation destinations, I'll just echo what others have said and request continents and regions that we haven't seen yet (Middle East, Africa, Australia), as well as perhaps interstellar or time-travel-based destinations that are more fantastical.

Sigh... did you really play Sims 3 World Adventures or Sims 2 Bon Voyage? That pack had China, France & Egypt and was great. Sims 2 had Japan, Mountain area, Island area. I'm just asking for two. In separate world zones just like World Adventures & Bon Voyage not within the same area.

I played both Sims 3 World Adventures and Sims 2 Bon Voyage. The reason I suggest separate packs is because they have never given two worlds in TS4 in the same pack. Also, they barely develop the worlds in EPs, I don't know if I want to see their effort for two worlds in one pack.

I can appreciate your position when the position is that you don't think EA would give either world the justice it is due. I actually agree, I don't think that the Sims 4 Worlds are as fun or as thorough and Sim 3 ones regardless of how many Worlds they put into it. However my purpose is to make these types of suggestion, make them extremely detailed, and see what comes of it. I figure the more we do the footwork the more we might see a good chunk of what we suggest.
Truthfully I don't think this iteration of the Sims will ever be as good no matter what they put into it because they just wont get on board with two things, pack integration and refreshing older packs to improve them and fill in their blanks to make them more enjoyable and work with newer content.

In the spirit of being thorough and I know you are a pretty decent ideas person could you review my list and see if I left anything significant out.
I feel like I researched fairly well but I might have missed something significant that would make each country feel unique from each other . Also I suggested specific building and towns as visual references that could be drawn upon for inspiration for similar type buildings.
Oh and one more thing, Skills and recipes seen in previous packs are suggested by design not mistake. (I have all everything they have ever made with exception of one awful kit which I wont name here.) I am a big proponent of putting the Baking skill in Base Game and if skills and recipes fit nicely in other packs they should be repeated. Also I support the aforementioned pack integration strongly. So I walk the walk so to speak when I suggest new packs.

I am sure you have listed everything you would like to have in the pack as it's your fantasy. I did read it, and basically said what I had to say, so I am not going to review it any more than I already did. 😁 I would suggest to add cantuccini biscotti for Italy, just in case they make it. I like to have my sims bake cookies and there's not enough variety. 😁
