We need a professional athlete pack!

For years I’ve been hoping The Sims 4 would explore a professional athlete expansion pack, and I think it could be one of the most dynamic packs yet.

The new world could have two distinct areas. One is a downtown city district with an arena for basketball, hockey, and concerts, surrounded by restaurants, nightlife, and high-rise apartments. The other is a suburban district with stadiums for football, baseball, and soccer, plus gated communities, mansions, practice facilities, and parks.

New careers could branch into athletes, coaches, managers, trainers, owners, and even behind-the-scenes roles like ticket or suite sales. Gameplay could include training schedules, big games, press conferences, rehab for injuries, endorsement deals, PR drama, and rivalries. It could also connect perfectly with the Get Famous pack through fame events, fan interactions, and media appearances.

Imagine building a superstar athlete’s journey, balancing fame, wealth, family life, and the ups and downs of a high-profile career. The storytelling and drama potential would be endless.

What do you all think?

I have always found it ironic that EA which are widely known for their sports games, have never made a sports pack or dlc for sims.

It would have been perfect for a get to work job, were you have to get your sim ready, and in shape in order to try and win a sports event. We could even have winning streaks were we get better paid and more fame for each match we win.

  • Many people have requested and suggested this idea before. I would very much like to see a pro-athlete pack. Preferably one that had cross-pack compatibility that would let you get drafted out of high school / university and have some kind of gameplay interactivity option involved in it. I would also like to add e-sports to this, to continue the option from Discover University. It feels like this, combined with Get Famous and a future music-focused pack, could make the Fame system a lot more interesting and meaningful for a wider range of gameplay styles.

  • if you want to: if you search for "sport" in the feedback category, you'll find lots of them👍

i'm surprised it's not in 1 post because in my opinion the more comments we get, the higher the chances are we'll get a sport pack (they do this with music and hotel pack ideas so why not merge each sport packs into 1 post? or atleast the ones that isn't outdated)

you can report the post which is sport related, you can ask the team if they can merge it in an already existing one😇😇 (you can copy the link and then paste them in the report, atleast that's what i do so the team can find them easier and merge them there)

it's just like someone else have said: lots of people requested it👍

  • If they could have it integrated with the athlete career we already have.  The problem I see, is they already have a football from high school years, basketball from city living, soccer from Discover university. Rock Climbing from Snowy Escape,  the Fitness stuff pack, a Martial arts type machine from Stangerville,  skating from seasons, and bikes from different packs.

I have a sim that is my baseball professional that I would love to see have a clutter baseball and mitt (separately ), and would love to be able to see him throw a baseball back and forth with a son ( child ).  But since we already have so many sports, will they be able to integrate them?  I would be interested in seeing golf and volleyball.  Maybe a career in running or skating, maybe national or a global sports competitiveness….. that might work..  I hope when they come out with cars they will have racing ( we already have a jacket from one of the packs or kits ).

The car racing idea has been mentioned in surveys. This is something I really, really hope they will include. I feel like a racing career could thrive on chance cards and have a lot more stakes than many other jobs do, and could be a guide for folding the related sub-careers and skills into a more well-rounded athlete career later on.
