I just updated to the new patch, and download to Legacy; however, now I no longer have a gallery. When I click it, it just brings up my own library, not the online gallery with downloadable items from other simmers. Why is this and how can I fix it?

All I want to do is access the Sims 4 Gallery but I don't even have the option. It only option I get is to access my library. But I don't see the gallery tab.

It's sad knowing I can never download anything from the gallery anymore. I used to use that to get homes for my Sims. I wish there was a way of changing this. It's just not fair. Not impressed
I agree. Not only did I lose all of of my saves over the last 3 years, I can’t download houses. I’m not a builder so I don’t know what to do. I’m so upset and I don’t even want to play anymore. All of my legacies are gone😔
So recently Sims 4 got the legacy update. But my game is not connecting the gallery. I have a full Origin account and i also tried the Firewall thing to allow apps. but its just not working at all.
Since the update my Origin puts itself in Offline mode shortly after loading. I restart it to get the "critical update" but the same thing happens... It says that I've been disconnected because a mandatory update went live. But I can't get the update.
Sims 4 also won't launch, I just get an error box that I'm missing game data and I need to download The Sims 4 Legacy from Origin. Which I can't do because Origin keeps putting itself in Offline mode.
Was all working just fine earlier this week before the update.
Hi, thanks for your help. I’m using Windows and I found the solution.
Downloaded Origin installer from their website - it then actually ran the necessary update.
I could then download the necessary Legacy edition free. Taking forever but I think it’s fixed!
I have just bought the new expansion pack and I went to play it and the sims 4 said online access was denied and I don't know how to fix it.
I’m on Mac and had to download the legacy
I spoke to a ea gaming customer service worker and they said to uninstall origin and reinstall it again and it worked.

i am having issues with the gallery. i make sure that i have ticked 'all' and not just 'maxis' but whenever i search for ANYTHING it just says 'no results found'.
any help is appreciated ☹️
@Nosilauka The Legacy Edition of Sims 4 doesn't have any Gallery access, sorry.
I have this solved.
Just go to the website www.thesims4.com and sign in and then click on community and then click on the gallery. There you can view the gallery and save what you like to your library then when you start the game you will have access to the stuff from the gallery.
You can still access the community gallery you just have to do it from the sims 4 website.

How do you get the things into your game? It just says save it to my downloads but it doesn’t actually go into the game. Please help.

Please go to the link posted above. Unfortunately the Sims 4 Legacy Edition does not allow access to the gallery.
There has not been an official workaround at this point.

i have a mac computer and since installing i'm guessing the latest update, my gallery doesn't show up and the next to the save button in cas it just says my library ive tried to turn on my allow online features access but that doesn't show up in my game options. i have no clue what else to do I'm signed in on origin
@llaila_mcc Are you running the Legacy Edition of Sims 4? In that case, the Gallery isn't available, nor are the other online features of the game.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open the Gallery, and try to look for the community gallery tab at the top.
What happens when the bug occurs? There is no tab or anything to access the community gallery.
What do you expect to see? Just your own library, with your downloaded lots/households/rooms.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Please describe the patch or change you made. I added the new Sims 4 Legacy Version to the Sims 4 base game.
I've also had another problem before this problem. Once I downloaded the Sims 4 Legacy Version, it deleted all my data like saved housholds, cc, my downloaded gallery items like households, lots, rooms etc. Please take the time to fix this problem Sims team! ☹️
My community gallery is not showing up. I have the option to select "others" but nothing shows up in there either. I've tried everything, I've turned firewall off, I've repaired the game, i got rid of CC, I've contacted EA, literally nothing is working.

So haven't been onto the sims 4 in a few months and the other day i went on and i got the legacy edition and did all my updates but when i went onto the game i went too go into the gallery but my gallery button had been replaced with the my library button and all my previous households and creations were gone despite using the same account as i have been using for years. Its as if my gallery has just disappeared. I couldn't seem to find anyone else with this problem so if this has happened to you or you know how i can fix it please let me know 🙂
@Sofiagirl123 The Gallery is not available in the Legacy Edition of Sims 4; neither are the other online features. Additionally, Discover University and all new packs going forward won't run in the LE at all, even if you can download them without problems.

The Legacy Edition do not have access to the online Gallery.
