@DarkxArtemis OK. Go to your game options (in the game) and tick the check box next to DirectX 9 and see if that makes a difference.

    Are you using DX11 or DX9 ?

EDIT: Are you using a different user name on the gallery ? Can't find any uploads under this one.

  • I haven't shared my build on gallery, but it's happening no matter what I try to place. It's not just my lots that aren't placing in world. I tried residential, museums, shops, etc. I even tried just placing a lot for a single moonpetal plant and it still crashed. I think it's DX11? I had something pop up on my screen after I downloaded the patch that had that on it.

Edit: is there somewhere I could go to find out for sure which DX it is?

@DarkxArtemis It should show on the main menu in the lower right corner next to the version number.

If you are on DX11, try switching to DX9 in options (graphics tab).

  • Oh that worked perfectly! I'm not having any issues placing anything from gallery anymore. Thank you so much!

@DarkxArtemis Since Maxis is looking into issues caused by DX11, Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    - Press Windows-Key + R
    - Type: DxDiag
    - Click on Save all Information.
