@HelenaKB99, Well, since your problem is not a Mac issue, and isn't a Mods or CC issue, then please bear with me as I ask you a few more questions?
1) You mention that your Sims can "Tell a joke" and "Get to know". Are these the only interactions that come up?.
2) What are the Personalities of your Sims?🤔 Do Sims with different personalities have any different interactions? (Sims with the Creative Personality will have options like Discuss New Idea, and Geek Sims will sometimes have options like "Debate best Captains", while Family Oriented Sims will have the option to "Boast about Family" .
3)What mood are your Sims currently in? Depending on their mood, there will be more options available. So, more Romance options will appear if they are in a Flirty Mood, and more Mischievous options will appear if they are in a mischievous mood. Mood is everything in The Sims 4! 🤨🙂
To see if your Sims just need to be in a certain mood to have more interactions, you can do some activities that can change their moods. If they paint or play music they might become inspired, if they watch the Comedy Channel they might be in a comic mood , if they exercise they might get in an energized mood, and if they "Troll the forums" on the computer they might get in a mischievous mood. ect.
