[COLLECTION] Blast From the Past: Issues with specific Tasks

I am supposed to complete "A Strange Visitor" with the task of "Introduce yourself to Emit Relevart. I did introduce myself. And we are now "good friends". Unforuntuately I still have the task to ...

SOLVED ON OWN. SEE REPLY UPDATE. "Ask Emit about the Malfunction". Unable to find this option in the social menu. no mods.

    tsharky23 I assume you also checked under more choices ?

    Did you have any issues with any of the other Emit tasks ? Did you always use the same Sim ?

      no other issues. same sim.

    tried these things:

    1. reset my sim (shift click)
    2. reset Emit
    3. travel
    4. reset both again
    5. reloaded game
    6. tried it all again
    7. turned off pc and turned on 20 hrs later
    8. deleted "accountDataDB.package" from sims 4 files
    9. opened game and progressed back through the quest with same sim to this point - still not there
    10. added random sim to household (shift click) - they did not have the quest social
    11. traveled to Magnolia Blossom Park and waited for Emit. A new Emit that I had never met spawned here. This Emit has the quest social. Now there are two Emit's in my game. 

    It worked as I wrote this. Looking back, I asked him to be my roommate (University mechanic) and then moved him out after it broke. Don't make him your roommate.
