My daughter is a big fan of The Sims 4 on Playstation and wants to download The Sims 4 to her PC now that the base game is free. We created a child/underage account for her (since she is still underage in the country where we live), but we soon discovered she needs a code purchased by an adult account. So I created an adult account for myself, using the same email address that we used for myself as parent/guardian when setting up my daughter's child account. However, I could find no way to associate her account with mine. Also, since The Sims 4 is now free, I could find no way to get a code to pass to her so that she could also install/play the game (although I was of course able to download it for my adult account). Is there a way out of this that leads to her being able to play The Sims 4 with her child account?

We are currently devising a system for parents to grant this content to a child account in the absence of a product code. Hello,
I'd like to add SIM4 to my 10 year old child account. I just created my account and my child account under it. Then, I added SIMS4 to my account. But on my child account, it doesn't appear. I tried to add it from my child account but it asks product code, but I haven't received any product code in my account or via email.
Please let me know how I can let my 10 year old get started with SIM4 on her account.

@Gagea25 That linked thread is almost two years old and only applied to transferring a purchase from an adult account. There should be a way for child accounts to claim the now-free version of Sims 4; I just don't know what that would be.

@tk51688 I've merged your post with another thread on this issue. I've asked around, and there is, unfortunately, no current way for a child account to claim Sims 4. If and when that changes, I or someone else will update this thread.

The Sims 4 base game is supposed to be free to ALL players. So why can't I install it into my child's EA account on their behalf?
Why is the only option to purchase a CD key because they're under 13, even though the game is a PEGI 12?

I to have a child desperate to play SIms 4 on their PC now the base game is free. It seems a bit short sighted to prevent the under 13s from being able to download the game as that is a bunch of future revenue possibility that EA is blocking out.
I understand that it may not be suitable for all children, but if you could generate a code from the adult account to use in the child account then all the protections stay in place.
I also appreciate that the availability for free of the base game is quite a new thing, but come on EA you have the human and financial resources to fix this in a heartbeat.
Anybody hears of a solution and I would love to know it.
