@merrie2580 I was concerned about this too but after discussion on another thread I learned that the media release for the Epic free content was misleading. It started with the words "The Sims 4 is making three packs free..." as if it was the Sims 4 making the content free. It's really badly worded, perhaps to get more interest. It actually just caused a bit of a kerfuffle!
But it turns out it's just like any other retail promotion. I've received many free games this way, in fact I just got a free digital version of the latest Forza this week. So that seems fair enough to me.
But in the current situation we face with our controls broken since patch 1.69 and feelings about not being able to bundle on console they unwittingly hit a nerve with console players with the wording used.
