What EP did curved roofs (Like for a Hobbit house, say) come in? I thought it was Cottage Living, but maybe it was Eco Living instead? I'm trying to make a gypsy vardo (wagon) and I can NOT figure out how to make the roof curved? If someone could advise me on which EP that ability came in, and/or how to make a curved roof, I'd sincerely appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
Being able to make curved roofs are base game tools, no Packs needed.
1. Make a simple box room, 3x5 for example:
2. Place the half-gabled roof piece next to it:
3. With the roof piece still selected press Shift and C and the single ball to grab to edit the curvature of the roof piece will turn into 4. This gives you more control to create curves:
4. Click the second highest ball and drag up to create the curve then click the one below and drag up to refine the curve:
5. Click on the top eave, hold down Shift and drag across. Holding down the Shift key will only change the single eave you're dragging:
6. Click the top ball and drag down to flatten the eave if needed:
7. When you're happy with the roof piece create a copy:
8. Then rotate it 180 and place on the other side of the room:
You can then play around and refine the look as needed by making the roof pieces bigger or smaller and adjusting the curvature as needed. Whenever you make changes to a roof piece make sure to delete the other roof piece and copy the edited one to place on the other side of the room. This creates the symmetrical look and seamless blending without spending ages editing both pieces.
