Dine Out Food Won't Appear on tables when delivered

I haven't been able to find a post which lists this issue which I am having with Dine Out. 

Basically, I've found when going to a restaurant my sims are able to order their food and the waiter comes to the table with no issues. The waiter will even bring the tray to the table, however when delivering it the animation will run but no food will appear on the table after it's been delivered. When this happens there are no lags, freezes or error notifications which pops up. I have tried making my sims order again, however when they do, the game doesn't register that they've ever ordered something to begin with. I usually give up by this point. This issue also occurs when owning a restaurant. I've previously had Carl's Sims dine out mod installed but have uninstalled it to still have this issue. 

I'm wondering if anyone else has also had this issue?

    HI @teya22 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

    I just purchased the Dine Out pack and literally ran into this same problem. I have not figured it out yet but I am definitely about to try and diagnose it. I ordered twice to be sure it wasn’t because my guy got up from the table. They just paid for two dinners to have an unsuccessful date. lol

    @dolamae84 Do you have children's drawings on the table ? Not sure if I'm seeing this correctly on your screenshot.

    If so, try removing them and see if it then works.

    @dolamae84 In my experience, the main goal of any date in TS4 is to interact with your date 10 times and completing the main goal is all that's needed to have a successful date. Concentrate on your date, instead of the food delivery, and there's no reason you can't still make it a success no matter how bad the restaurant service is.

    Note: I don't have Lovestruck. The advice I gave above might not apply if you do have Lovestruck.
