Re: [ARCHIVED] Houses/Lots disappear/Error 800 or 801

In late spring, I had to reinstall Sims due to the Exclamation Point plague. Since then, I have spent all summer rebuilding a new save file. After evicting all others, I've only had one family in a house, and I spent months dropping down lots, either my own creations or from the gallery.

Today, I placed my first sims from my library into the first house in Willowcreek on the Cypress Terrace lot. When I went to go into live mode, I got "The game failed to load. Error Code 800: It is recommended you relaunch your game." -- Another lot gave me error 801.

I got the same error when I tried other lots in Willow Creek.

I haven't played any of these lots. I've only dropped a building there and moved on.

I have done the following with no difference in results:

• Removed all mods/CC
• Repaired my game
• Deleted the localthumbcache

In a new save, I loaded the same house on the Cypress Terrace lot, and it worked fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do other than start a brand new save and start over? Or is that my only option?
