Fairy dust not working on Gnomes

I started playing Enchanted by Nature yesterday and my fairy dust is not working at all. I have it in my inventory but when I try to use it (enchant plant, bring gnome to life, etc) it says I do not have any fairy dust. I have tried disabling mods and CC, restarting my game, trying with a brand new save file, nothing is working. 

Is anyone else having this problem, or know a solution?

Did you try with more than 4? I think the description of the interaction is not that good and it's possible that you need more.

I'm having exactly the same issue sadly and I've no mods.  I can't plant my fairy seed either. 🫤

moving this to gameplay as it's likely not a bug. The tool tip tells you how many MORE you need, not the total

Oh my gawsh, I feel so silly! Thank you so much, this was exactly the problem. I would have never even thought it was counting them down like that 🤦‍♀️

The tooltip is what more you need. Which means that you need one more/extra fairy dust to what you already have.

I'm having the same issue. I cannot bring them to life despite having the appropiate amount of fairy dust. I want my gnome to clean which costs two piles of fairy dusts and I have three. The option is grayed out. 

Unless it's something only fairies can do? I tried it with my human sim.

HelloMissIcewolf​  You need to have 5 fairy dust to bring a gnome to life to clean. You already have three fairy dust, and the tool tip is saying that you need 2 more fairy dust.
