family is not there
family does not show up after i create them. I put them in house and play, then i get out of the game. later on i get back in and no family is there, The house is and furnish but no family.

It seems that you instead of clicking the Continue button clicked New game. Another possibility is that you forgot to save when exiting.
If you choose Load Game do you then see the savegame with the family in it?
