For Rent: Tenants disappeared can't change to residential

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? fully updated as of 04/27/24
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them expect Strangerville, Realm of Magic and Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a rental lot in Tomarang and hover over the rental menu or try to change the lot back to residential
What happens when the bug occurs? Multiple Xs appear across the rental menu where tenants are listed. Even if you evict everyone from the property it will show that there is still someone living there. Cant change the property to residential and any changes to the lots result in the save file not loading.
What do you expect to see? To be able to change a residential rental back to a residential lot with no glitching and to be able to save the game and be able to load my save file. Not see that there is a tenant in the rental when there is not one.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This issue appeared after the latest patch around April 20th 2024

  • @cosmicexhaust What kinds of mods/cc are you using ?

Removing them at this point probably won't help but they could be the cause for the corruption.

Do you have any backups ?
  • @crinrict I have a few mods. I did remove a few but ultimately I had to delete the save and start a new one. The glitch doesn’t appear to occur in my new save (and hopefully never will) but I also haven’t been playing as a landlord just to avoid it.

@cosmicexhaust Fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again.

I would keep regular backups, especially if using rental lots and mods/cc
