aawndrayah The "verify integrity of the game files" option in Steam is in fact the repair process, and when the game is installed through Steam, it can only be repaired through Steam.
If you don't own any content in Steam aside from the base game, then yes, you can uninstall the game in Steam and reinstall through the EA App. But I don't think that will fix your problem. Besides, the repair should have fixed most if not all of the underlying issues that reinstalling would address.
This sounds like save issue: something is getting stuck in your save at exactly this time, and you'll need to find a way around it. Have you tried switching to a different household and playing through the time of the freeze with those sims instead? Please choose a household you've never played before and that lives in a different world. If this helps, you can try going back to your main household, say around 7 am.
