After poking and prodding with a mod dev on why his mod throws up an error related to specific sims, we narrowed it down to specifically be alien sims and how they randomly generate. While they do receive a disguise, they will not generate their alien forms, leaving them to have one without the other. This causes issues with other mods that rely on the random sim generator, throwing an exception.

not quite, it's not that alien townies look the same, it's that there's no data for a mod to call on for the alien form. going into non fulleditmode CAS using shift left click shows the default alien mesh while doing so in fulleditmode CAS gives the sim a unique alien design.
The report isn't about them looking the same but rather that they don't have a non-disguise showing
But it's old and I'm not sure so new report is most useful.
