SirCaptainC Have you tried attending prom with more than 1 active sim? That's my usual way to handle the event as I find that it's really tough to get gold with just one sim. With 2 or more, it is way easier as you can split the tasks between sims. But that depends on how you play. I tend to play large families of 6 or more, usually 8 sims. That can be a bit chaotic at times but for some things, like prom, it works pretty well.
So, if you rather play with small families or 3 or 4, you could borrow teens from other households on Saturday afternoon, move them temporarily into your active household, attend prom, then move them back to their original families on Sunday AM. That will give you enough teens to split up the tasks at prom, so you complete them all and earn gold for the event if you don't have a large family with multiple teens.
