Household gone

I spent a really long time creating my sims. Once I finished making them, I picked a world and wanted to add them into a lot. I did the FreeRealEstate On cheat and once I picked a house I confirmed. It showed me the loading screen but instead of putting me into the house where they woudl've been, it returned me into the pick world screen. I went back to my chosen one but my sims were nowhere to be found. I saved the game and reloaded it. Once I returned, I could see the newly made sims in the continue/load game preview, but once it loaded in I was once again only showed the world choose menu. My sims are in no houses, and I have no way to find them nor get out of the menu since it immediately goes 'create a household to move in' whenever I click any houses.

I was thinking of just moving my sims over again since I saved them in my gallery. But when I went into my gallery, they weren't there either??

What do I do????

Spent ages creating a household only to have it all disappear and get stuck in the world select menu. No matter what I do that is what happens.

I've attached a last exception error file that appeared after the most recent time I reloaded the game. I've tried moving all my mods/removing them, and still, nothing has helped. I am desperate to actually fix this but have no idea why it's doing this. I've never had severe issues with Sims like most people, so this is genuinely throwing me off massively.

    Hi mmiib_

Unfortunately you can't attach lastException files. Please open the file in a text editor and copy/paste the content to a post.

  • Hi mmiib_

is this with or without mods/cc ?

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

    - Delete the ones you have
    - Trigger the error again
    - Check if new ones are created
    - If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

had this exact same problem. spent forever trying to figure out what it was because when i removed my custom content folder it would do this, but when i turned the setting to allow mods and custom content, it did work. turns out, curseforge downloads everything straight to the mods folder, when i was only looking through my separate cc folder within the mods folder. so i spent hours sifting through EVERY single mod, including everything from curseforge. it ended up being a mod called "Teen Jobs Collection" by AstroBluu. i did previously update everything on curse forge itself, but these files just seem to be completely beyond repair or updating. im not sure if it will be the same solution for you, but this is what worked for me. maybe try digging for mods that might've been misplaced or forgotten. either way i hope you can get it sorted out because i know how annoying this is.
