I believe the chimes/celebration sounds happen when you take a pregnancy test but that is what is glitched atm. Another patch to fix this is coming out tomorrow, July 16th. Hopefully all will be working as expected after that 👍

No "chimes" ? (You know, the classic The Sims[tm] *you DID make that baby* chimes?)

Yep! It’s certainly frustrating but at least there are ways around is! Apparently Lumpinou has made a mod to bring back the pregnancy tests temporarily but the Childbirth Mod by Pandasama is only working sporadically!
At least there’s some work arounds, hopefully it won’t take forever to fix! Can’t imagine it’s an easy task though 🫣

Thanks! Oh, yes that was happening with pretty much all the fairy and non fairy sims in Everdew with me too. It was a bit annoying to see but I also took advantage of how easy it was to cure those ailments and complete more fairy rankings.

I read somewhere that the newest update has completely messed with the pregnancy element of the code - so the team are having to re write the code so it fixes that as well as fix the newest patch!
I've had to do pregnancies via science because my sim is currently in the first trimester (visibly so) and she just wont progress, even after exiting, reloading multiple times and has no pregnancy buff and is constantly throwing up poor gal!

You can tell your sim is pregnant by looking at the age up part of the info box on your sim in the lower right hand corner( on PS4 console anyway) since a pregnant sim can't age up. Or wait to see if any moodlets appear if you want it to be a surprise also.
That actually sounds like a cute way to deal with it right now, actually!

Adorable: I am not really playing the Fairy World, not since my sim and the fairy that she married kept passing the same disease back and forth between one another. It is easier just to be on my own.

This is good to know! Lovely family by the way.

I can only speak for my current game experience. I started a new save with new sims and started in Innisgreen. I tried for baby a few times and trusted that was good enough to kick start a pregnancy. As sim time passed, I noticed the pregnancy trimester mood buffs appearing on my sim Briar. Her son Bramble is now an infant and I'm keeping a close watch on him but so far all's good with this experience. 💜
