Since the update, I no longer can click on an object and the option for Magic be there. I just had 15 objects break (not exaggerating… spent two sims day just fixing things which gave me no time to do anything else) and couldn’t use repairo on them… and Magic’s not there when I click on another sim either.
Also grew a trash plant just to get a microscope sample from it and that’s not an option either….
Is this happening with multiple sims? Try testing with other sims and other households and see if the same issues occur.
I did. I have two spellcaster roommates in the house and both of them have lost the ability to spellcast (except when you click on them and they have it there to practice magic).
Also, ai had him read one of the Tomes got in the Magic Realm and he took it over the the books on the table just to have it disappear forever. It’s not anywhere! Not in inventory, not laying around, not in any of the book sleeves. It’s just gone and I’m scared to try and have him read another one because they’re like 750 simleons on certain days in the MR & I loathe traveling because it takes so bloody long.
Other things have disappeared and eventually returned since the update… (which I thought I have automatic updates turned off but that obviously didn’t work because it did it on its own and now I have the new items and bugs)…. Like my aim was in the middle of making a video game under programming and you click and click through all the options and it was gone.
I tried later and it was back. That’s happened with lots of things. So maybe magic will eventually come back too, fingers crossed.
Update: Made a new spellcaster sim and gave them a house (I had a voodoo priestess on the eventually to do list and decided now was the time so I could test magic on a new one). She is able to click on objets and people with the magic option there.... but I spent the last however long ranking her up in magic skills just to have it glitch out and not allow her to go above Neophyte. The bar is full and switched to Acolyte with it half way full in a split second and then defaulted back to a full Neophyte bar and the sages saying there are no more spells and potions to give me at my current level.... so it is broken.
Also she shows in regukar charge range and it never changes and then surprise... overcharged and near death experience. No way of promoting and no way of monitoring charge levels.
