Neighborhood stories continue even though I have disabled them

Since the last update, the neighborhood stories changed. Even if I disabled thoses, there still have npc moving into ALL houses, and some npc's also getting pregnant, EVENT IF I DISABLED NEIGHBORHOOD STORIES ! Now we have to check or uncheck a little box, I don't understand anything anymore, it's changed and it annoys me a lot !

I think the neighborhood stories fail was first report a little over a year ago and, as you said, I think the recent update really messed it up. My game now has pregnancies, new babies and divorces all over the place. I've had to delete the babies and reestablish several relationships (spouses, partner and siblings). It got to be so much I started a new save, which sucks because I was actively playing the messed up game.
