That worked. But I went back to the old file and cleared my mods folder, then went back to the same issue. I also tried keeping the mods folder in and disabling script mods, that didn't work either.
I split your post as it's easier to troubleshoot those that actually try things individually.
To be sure, you're still having issues on the old save game with an empty mods folder ?
If not, try to just move back your save game and nothing else and see if it works,
If your save doesn't work on a folder with no mods/cc, please check if the game creates any lastException file sand post the content.
Instructions here:
- Delete all the L-Files you have (lastExcepction/Lastuiexception/lastCrash/localthumbcache)
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
Okay, so I tried all of that. The only thing that worked was creating the new sims 4 folder. Am I going to have to start all over? I am 11 generations in on my current save.
Are you still not getting any new lastException files ?
If so, please share them. Could be something that can easily be solved.
No lastException files.
