Re: Autoage for "active household only" = Autoage on?

hello to all. Even though the last message in this topic is from 3 years ago, I was exactly looking for the answer to the question @eunhone1  wrote. What is the difference between these two options:

Active household means the family you're currently playing? Because I had twin toddlers grow into kids today with 14 days left to age up to teen. Checking another house that had a kid for a really long time already, I found that he hadn't aged at all and has 13 days left to age up till teen. I thought he was about to age, really. Both households are in the same save game and are both marked as 'played'.

In my understanding auto age played sims=yes means all sim household marked as played, will age, regardless which family you play. So active household must mean, only the family you're currently playing is aging?

Can someone kindly confirm? 🙂 many thanks!

Yes, Active household means the household you are currently controlling. Choosing Yes will mean that all your played households will age.

  • @IrisuChan  I've split your post out of the other thread, since it was a bit old, and moved it to the general discussion section.  Someone who knows how rotational play works (i.e. not me) should be able to clarify.

@jpkarlsen  thank you! If I may also ask: I found that some sims I hadn't played since last winter in the game, are still stuck in winter mode when I play them next spring/summer. They'll wear winter clothes and sometimes have old Christmas decorations out. With auto age, the sims age but also do they "move along" with the seasons? Until now I hadn't seen that. If I left a family in winter with decorations on the house, their house would still look like that even in summer (when seen from another household).

@jpkarlsen thank you for that explanation. How about decorations on the house? Around love day I see a lot of houses for my played sims that have decorations on the house, which I haven't put up. Thanks in advance!

Once decorations on the house is setup they will change with the seasons unless they are specifically turned off by interacting with the Attic stack decoration boxes.
