Re: Bought and downloaded tiny living stuff pack, but it is not showing in game

I had this same issue and I am running the legacy edition. I have a feeling that I know the answer is that the LE doesn't support the new pack.

@PeachyGreene, yes, I'm sorry, but you are correct. 😞 The Legacy Edition does not support any new pack.  It will only support all packs up to and including the Moschino Stuff Pack.  So any pack  from Discover University onwards will not be able to be used.☹️

Did you run the legacy edition by accident, or is your computer only capable of running the Legacy Edition? 🤔

Just had to get a refund because I have Legacy Edition. SO SAD! Was excited about Tiny Living... The agent even said "I know that it's disappointing. As a game myself, who has a poor system can understand your feeling"

My system is not poor either! It's a Mac desktop, and it runs fantastically. Just think it's rude that they're ignoring those of us who have older systems, and making it impossible for us to have the newest packs, especially this super cool looking TIny Living pack.

EA, you've let a lot of people down. Please fix this issue!

@PeachyGreene, well, at least you kind play it for a bit. It is better than nothing,  For the future, it is always helpful to some research before making purchases where either money or performance is an issue.  It is too bad you could have bought another pack that would have worked better with your computer.  I feel for you and for @katielynnosaur  for your problems. 😢  This is how I felt when the original The Sims was ending and TS2 was released.  I couldn't run TS2 on my computer and felt very left out! 😞 I wanted TS2 so bad!  Ironically, within 6 months to a year my old computer broke and I had no choice but to get a new computer since the work I was doing at the time required me to some work at home. But after that I was able to get TS2! 🙌

@katielynnosaur, I know it feels crummy, but the video game industry will always be advancing, and that includes needing better computers to play the games. 🤨That is just the nature of the industry. 

At least you are able to still play the packs that you both have! 🙂

i do not have LE i have the regualr one and it still wont work..

Have you quit and relaunched your game? Sometimes I forget that I have to do that to launch a new pack. 

howd you get a refund , i ended up with the same problem and would like to get my money back also

@NoGravityFour20  Go through EA customer support, and explain that your computer can't run the standard version of Sims 4, only the Legacy Edition.  (I mean, provided that this is the problem and not something else.)  The LE doesn't support any new packs, so there's no way for you to play Tiny Living on your computer.

so getting very frustrated with this.. I have tried working it out by searching everything but it’s still not working and now I’m at a dead end haha. 

So I have just gotten tiny living and it won’t work because of legacy edition. 
I have already uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything but left out legacy edition but then the sims wouldn’t work with out it. 

then I installed legacy edition last to see if it would work but still not working.

I have 64 bit and I’m on windows 8.1 

what can I do to fix my issue????

I am also having this problem. I do not run the legacy edition nor is it installed. All my other packs work fine, but tiny living wont run. UNIVERSITY and more recent packs run fine, but tiny wont work

@Simillion11  Try deleting the folder for Tiny Living, repairing the game, and redownloading the pack.  The folders for packs are within the game's program files, by default located in Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4.  Tiny Living is the 16th stuff pack, so delete the SP16 folder.

After deleting the pack's folder and before repairing the game, clear Origin's cache and restart your computer.

how do you go and get a refund I was wondering why it wasn’t working on my Mac and I was upset when I found out on here that I can’t play it on the legacy edition I bought it a couple of hours ago and I’m not sure when I can file for a refund ☹️ 

@veexviii  You'll need to contact EA customer support directly, explain that your Mac doesn't support the standard version of Sims 4, and ask that your pack be refunded.
