- @mcsupersport I'm on a different computer then i downloaded it on and it is super frustrating that I can't get it without the product code and I need a new one
Except you don't need a new code, you simply have to log into the account on Origin that has the game unlocked and download the game and install it. If you are logged into an account and it is asking for a code, then MOST times it is because the game isn't unlocked on that account and never was. Most times, people who get this have logged into another Origin account that doesn't have the game, thinking that it is the correct account or that they can use the old code to unlock it again.
Game codes on Origin don't unlock it on a specific computer, it unlocks it on the account on Origin, and any computer that is logged into that account(within reason, aka..10+ computer all using the same account may trigger a look see by EA) can access and install any game on the account. Only ONE computer at a time my be online at a time, this is to keep 2 people from sharing an account and being able to both play at the same time.
So if you are logged into origin and Sims isn't unlocked, then first, verify you are logged into the account you unlocked it on. If you are logged into the correct account and it still doesn't show it as unlocked on that account, then take the code if you still have it, and contact EA over at help.ea main site and get into a chat with one of the official EA reps and they should be able to verify what account the game is unlocked on, and remind you of the name of the account, if wanted merge it with your new account or in the rare occasion, fix the unlock if it happens to be messing up on your account.
But honestly, I think every time this has come up except once that I can remember, it has been a case of not logging into the correct account.
