Re: Sims 4 game crashing after modifying household in CAS and trying to enter lot

@SimzSlayerYt To be sure, did you just not use any cc on the Sims or did you move your mods folder to the desktop, deleted Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache and then tried on the new save ?

    So after doing the 50/50s I have deleted my localthumbcache each time I was removing or adding mods and restarting the game. On the new save with no cc I did not use CC on the sims I tried to modify and then go in game. It happens both with and without cc

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

    Hi I have tried this 2 times. With each steps being respected and created a 2 new saves and deleting localthumbcache while going in and out of game when it crashes.

    Whilst having no mods and new save : placing lots from the gallery

    - 1 lot out of 3 is either freezing the game or crashing it

    - and entering like the calientes for exemple doesn't crash my game but if I go in cas and I replace them with a different version of them from the gallery (2 different versions for each game repair I did) it crashes when I try to enter live mode and play.

    - Also when I manage to play with a household, if I like visit another lot (premade in the new saves or placed from gallery, happened in both instances) 1 time out of 5 the game crashes.

    I'm running with directx9.

    @SimzSlayerYt That sounds like a lot. There are lot in the gallery that crash the game but this seems excessive,

    Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    - Press Windows-Key + R
    - Type: DxDiag
    - Click on Save all Information.
    - Attach the Text File to your post

    Crin asked me to answer you:

    The DxDiag service crashed during creating the DxDiag, that is a sign of problems in the graphic system or Windows.

    Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
    For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
    windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
    repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

    @SimzSlayerYt

    The game is still crashing I assume? (Restart your PC before testing.)

    Press the Windows key > Write "CMD" (Without the quotation marks) > Right click on "Command prompt" in the search results. > Run as administrator.

    • Copy "findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" (Without the quotation marks) into the prompt of the command prompt. > ENTER.

    • Upload the "sfcdetails.txt" that is now on your desktop.

    @holger1405 Hey!

    In between that time I completely desinstalled sims 4 instead of repairing and rebooted my session and it worked I can now play and the lots don't crash! thx
