Just some feedback on the Sims Delivery Express.
According to the Delivery explanation? It downloads updates in the background while playing, correct? Well, I've seen this in action. Whenever the Delivery gives updates, massive frame rate issues occur, making the game unplayable. Which makes the Sims Delivery Express, useless and more of a hindrance. Also, I have to restart the game before I'm able to use the updates. So, in my opinion, it's a useless thing clogging up the gaming systems. It should be done away with, and maybe the gaming systems will work better without it. I have this game on the Xbox Series X, Playstation 4, and PC. I would rather download the updates from the console's dashboards, wait for it to install, then start the game with the updates working. A few less steps, in my opinion, for my gaming systems to deal with, and I can enjoy the game without the massive frame rate issues. In just the past few days I've been dealing with numerous bugs and glitches, and I have received updates for a sale on the DLCs, so I'm assuming that my issues were connected to the Sims Delivery Express updating for the sale.
In conclusion and my opinion is that the Sims Delivery Express is useless and even more of a frustration than a benefit. I for one, with what I have seen, would love to see it retired and/or removed.
Either way? A good day and my best wishes to all.

There has been no recent SDX so perhaps look for something else that could cause your problems.
If you post your problems with details in respective forums for your gaming equipment someone might be able to help you.
@madelf69 there is a technical issue currently which I've reported where there's an SDX notification when the game does a Quick Resume. So if you go into your console settings and then Groups>Quick Resume then remove the Sims 4 from the games on that list, that stops the false SDX message from appearing and causing problems for your game. If my game does a Quick Resume I immediately do a hard restart and switch my Console off, because I know I'm going to get the false SDX message.
I close my game down completely when I finish playing too, then go to my Xbox Series X home screen and then shut down from there too and that prevents a Quick Resume as well. I find if I switch off my Xbox from the Sims home screen it can automatically cause a Quick Resume the next time I put my game on.
You can also turn off SDX in your game settings, but as @jpkarlsen rightly says, we haven't had an SDX for some time. This is a technical issue, here's the thread:

I'm not sure why a few of you are replying to me about a resume issue. I'm not getting any quick resume messages. I'm not receiving any SDX messages either. And as far as replying to the wrong post areas? This website is set up like a maze designed to confuse people with ADHD... I'm doing the best that I can. I saw Sims Delivery Express, thought that this was the correct place to leave my opinion about it. Thanks for trying to help me. But I only have an issue with SDX, because it is more of a pain in the neck then something useful..But I have not received any messages, just a lot of bugs when the Sims Delivery Express is updating.
A good day and my best wishes to all.

Hello.
OK, I see where you are going with your reply. I'll provide you with some more details. Well, I'm playing this game on my Xbox Series X. There was no sales on the DLCs for this game, then I was having bugs running rampant in my game, then I noticed a few DLCs on sale. I just finished doing maintenance on my Xbox and router/modem, before this nightmare took place. So, there shouldn't be any reason for these issues with my game? So, the only thing that I can come up with is the Sims Delivery Express gave an update for the sale of DLCs in the background. Now I could be mistaken, it is possible. But it's the only senerio that I can come with. You have any ideas of anything that I could be missing? Please feel free to offer any suggestions? Please provide some facts, evidence, possible senerioes, so on and so forth, with your reply? But please don't dismiss my post without some facts, evidence, so on and so forth? I try to provide as much evidence and facts as I can possibly come up with. Please do me the courtesy of the same treatment?
A good day and my best wishes to all.

Sims Delivery Express do not have anything to do with what is shown on the start screen. It is updated when you start the game or exit to it. Not while you play That is partly why there is a loading screen.
Please read answer #7 and the linked posting.
@madelf69A lot of what goes on here is players helping other players and certainly done with courtesy and a fair bit of time taken out of busy days. Some things can be addressed with collaboration but a lot of the time all we can do is link you to the thread that we've taken the time to find for you so that you can see the advice given to another player with the same issue. That's also important so that you can help to get the issue fixed by adding your Me Too and your information. The more information given about your system, the easier it is for developers to replicate the problem and work towards a fix. Then every now and then you'll see it added to a laundry list of upcoming fixes and addressed in an update. Sometimes that can take a long time but it's a complex task to fix bugs across several systems, all with different combinations of packs.
If you feel like you need to get your bearings on the site, maybe just click Sims 4 at the top of the screen and that will show you the main categories for the site and help you navigate.
To explain, Quick Resume is when your Xbox Series X starts your game from the Sims homepage instead of taking you through the game's loading screens. As I explained, it can produce a technical issue and a false SDX message telling you that you have a Sims Delivery Express update and/or new content to install. You then have to start the game again as it causes a terrible lag and makes playing impossible, just like trying to play while the real SDX installs. Since we haven't had an SDX, naturally I assumed your Series X was doing the same thing that my X/S both do with a Quick Resume. Also, SDX has nothing to to with sales of DLC. It's just very small bug fixes and occasionally free content. So what I'm not clear on is why you thought you'd had an SDX if you're saying you haven't had a message.
Your bugs though, are likely a result of the big update we had before the Horse Ranch launch. Many players are having issues from that and the HR pack itself, me included. Although it also brought a raft of welcome bug fixes with it, it's common to get some issues too that are often patched soon after. Plus as you know, our Console controls have been in a state of ongoing maintenance/flux since January and our feedback is being collected.
If you go to Sims 4 >Bug Reports and familiarise yourself with the Bug reporting system there, you may find issues like yours. There are clear instructions and it's extremely well organised, plus at the top there's a compiled list of all reported bugs all carefully organised by category. After that, down the page you will see recent Bug Reports, many as a result of the recent patch and update. You may find what you are looking for, add your Me Too (as I've explained to you before) and give your information. If you can't find your issue you can file a bug report by selecting New Topic and reporting only 1 issue at a time. If it's not a bug you'll be pointed in the right direction. If someone has tips to help, you'll get those too but it may be a case of waiting for a fix. It's best to be as clear and constructive as possible because that's how fixes happen. You can also add up to 3 images at a time on any post and that can also be really helpful. I use my tablet to take images from my game, crop them to meet file size limits and then link them here by selecting add attachment>Google Files. So we/they can see what you are seeing.
If you're ever not sure what is a bug and what is a technical issue, it helps to scan both sections and see what has been reported where. We all need directions still even after a few years.
That's all the best advice I can give you.- madelf692 years agoNew Vanguard
Hello to all
Well, these things are all good meaning and all. But on some of the posts I can't find the ME TOO option. I never use the resume play feature on my Xbox, it's just another thing clogging up the system I figured that out. These companies keep coming up with these bells and whistles that cause more problems than they actually assist the players. I give an example from the automotive industry. They created heated seats, when I have a remote starter, I don't need this feature. It's just another that could break, costing thousands of dollars to fix and doesn't really provide a useful service. It the same thing with the Sims Delivery Express and Resume Play. These are useless tools that don't really assist with anything. It's just another shiny bell and whistle that causes more problems than it fixes. Especially when it comes to gaming systems that all overwhelmed as it is. I don't need a flashlight connected to my carving knife, which is what they seem to be giving me.
I would like to offer you some advice when trying to help others? Try not to assume that everyone else knows the abbreviations that you are using. It can cause a lot of confusion. Example? When you used SDX, it took me some time to think it through, caused some confusion, time wasted while I was trying to figure it out. This website allows us to spell things out, allowing us to give as much clearly understood information as possible, so everyone can attempt to find an answer. By using abbreviations without the meaning, you are just cutting your own throat and others, while you're trying to assist.
And as far as this website being well organized? That's incorrect. I typed in numerous possibilities for the thing that I'm searching for, I find nothing, then post a bug report, then one of you people trying to assist me contacts me and tells me the bug has already been reported. This happens a lot. And this website malfunctions as well. After you have taught me to look for the ME TOO, I've looked for it and it wasn't there. And since I went looking for it and couldn't find it. I have dealt with numerous replies and forgot what I was looking for in the first. Which leads me to believe? This website was designed to be a maze spinning people in circles. So nothing ever gets taken care of. There are bug reports on this website, that were reported a few years ago, some even from the release of the base game. And those bugs exist, today..
Well, I have a headache now. So I'm taking a break from this. Maybe later I'll try to voice some more concerns on the Microsoft Xbox website. See what they have to say. Maybe there are know issues there, that could be impacting this game? A good day and my best wishes to all.

Hello again.
Here's an update, I went to the Microsoft Xbox's website. And just as I thought, there's no way of finding out if the Xbox's system is impacting the Sims 4. Why? Because the Xbox and its system only reads and executes the programming that the Sims 4's creators give. If the programming is unstable, then the gaming system will be unstable, and by extension, some and/or all of it will malfunction. And the only people that I can turn to, seems to be refusing and/or unable to fix these nightmares within the programming. It looks like? I'm going to have to get my last achievement, and retire this game, and stay away from any Sim's games and it's DLCs. Again, I'm a sad customer, because I like the game, but this game is getting very unstable and the more DLC's that I own, the worse it gets. I hope that I'm wrong, and I see major improvement, can give it a 5 star rating across the board, and can continue enjoying it for years to come. But my optimistic view is waning with all of the evidence I have seen.
One last thought? On this website, this game is on multiple gaming systems. But there is no separation between PC, Playstation, and Xbox. I go down the list of conversations. The first one might be talking about PC issues, the next might be talking about Xbox issues, so on and so forth. All of the problems with the PC version should be under its own category or section, and the same with the other systems. So, if things are not organized by each of the gaming system? Then how organized is this website? And by extension, if the designers of this website are working on the Sims 4 and its DLC's? How messed up is the programming in Sims 4 and DLC's? It makes me wonder? I'm probably grasping at straws, as the saying goes? But it seems like I will never receive any answers anyways? Time to give up and move on? Time will tell?
A good day and my best wishes to all.

Hello again
Something just hit me? I would love to see a representative of let's say the programming department come forward and say something like? We didn't mess up, something did go wrong, but we are working on it. Or? We did messed up, we are sorry, we are working on it, and will do everything we can to restore the fans faith in us, and make this game great. If they took some stance of accountability, it would go along way with me, personally. I might even be willing to purchase more content to support their efforts with fixing everything. They would have restored some if not all of my respect for them. But no, nothing, just advertising of the new stuff that is malfunctioning.
I don't know what else to say. A good day and my best wishes to all.

Hello again
Even if I'm wrong, which I probably am. When the Sims Delivery Express does do its downloads. There are still massive frame rate issues, making the game unplayable, and I have to restart it in order to make use of the new download. Which by extension, makes the tool useless. Whether the Sims Delivery Express is actually causing my recent issues or not, that was not the main point. My main point was, it's not really useful. I can't play the game while it's downloads, which is supposed to be one of its benefits, and have to restart the game, anyways. I rather do the downloads from my Xbox's games downloads section of my dashboard, then start the game, and it's ready to go. And by extension, I end up skipping a step that slows down the process. Having the Sims Delivery Express is like me having a third eye, I don't need it and would probably cause confusion in my brain. It's a useless tools, clogging up the programming and gaming systems. This is my main and only point.
Well, I hope that I clarified my thoughts. A good day and my best wishes to all.

Remember that you can turn off SDX download in settings if you do not like it.
- madelf692 years agoNew Vanguard@jpkarlsen Well, that's pretty cool idea. But I have it set to download when starting the game, I had it downloaded while playing, but it doesn't seem to matter. I still believe that it causes more problems than it solves. Example? While loading the game, I get advice that I can change my aspirations anytime without losing progress. This is not even remotely accurate. If I don't have the love aspiration turned on, go on a date, it won't register. And this happens with a lot of the aspirations. Even the instructions within the game are inaccurate even wrong. So, can I truly trust that the Sims Delivery Express is registering anything that I ask it to? I don't believe that the setting of the Sims Delivery Express works, because there are so many things that don't register properly.
Well, thanks for trying to be helpful. A good day and my best wishes to all. - jpkarlsen2 years agoHero (Retired)
Changing aspirations have nothing to do with SDX. It is correct that you can change aspirations without losing progress. I have no idea why you would think you could get further progress on an aspiration that you changed away from. It can make sense to work on another aspiration while not engaged in something romantic but remember to switch back when you want to work on that aspiration again. If there are other things you feel are wrong just ask in a new posting and someone will help. It is much better that you ask instead of maybe coming to the wrong conclusion.
It sucks because now every time I play, I have to turn off Windows Defender real time protiction
