Re: What happens when your alien sim and vampire sim have children

The son was pure Alien. A hybrid would have voice and/or skin tone as an alien but not the disguise. The latter is alien only and all aliens have that.

@jpkarlsen, (as well as @kimberlyp2002, @iamsweetmystery, and @Behappy1st)  I now agree!  I thought it seemed odd he had the Alien denotation in CAS, as well as the disguise, but then just now I was playing that family and saw that his Plumbob had the silver Alien ring around it. 🤨 So I was just coming back here to update my findings and saw your post confirming my suspicions! 😎  So apparently a full Alien parent can have a fully Alien child even if the other parent is not Alien. 😉  Thanks for the clarification! 😇

I went back to my game and discovered when I made my Alien I made her look human in Alien form. I must have thought I was making the human side of her. Than I was pulled away from playing for a while and went back, downloaded my vampire and Alien and started playing not knowing I never finished doing her so her Alien and Human form are the same..They had twin girls, one a vampire and one who I believe is human. When she aged up to toddler no Alien and no Vampire sign. Went to CAS mom is Alien, dad is Vampire sister is vampire and she still shows as Human. I did a save as so I could age her up to teen to see what happens without messing with my game, She still shows as human.

Oh, I forgot to mention I shared them to the gallery if you want to see for yourself there name is Sheridan.

@Behappy1st, I found the Sheridan family in the Gallery!  I downloaded them but haven't played them yet.  I saw that one of the daughters is Human, the other Vampire, and the toddler boy is Alien.  Perhaps since Vampirism can be cured, the base for a Vampire is a Human? 🤔  That would account for having one daughter be human, but this is just a hypothesis. 😳  Thanks for contributing to this fascinating topic of Sim genetics! 😃:eahigh_file:  I will try to play your family this week but I doubt I can get much from the human teen since I can't see into the game mechanics. 🤔  The Human girl can either be upset that she didn't get a special ability like her siblings, or she can be grateful that she is "normal" like her friends! 😉😎

@kimberlyp2002, Mods can change this (which is why @jpkarlsen asked if you used them 🙂 ).  If you don't use Mods, then go into Build/Buy Mode and look in the upper left corner of the screen there is an icon that looks like a house with an "I" in side it.  Click on that and it will show you the Lot Attributes (which you can change, add to, or subtract any you want).  If you have the attribute called "On a Dark Ley" you will be likely to get Vampire babies, even if both parents are Human! 🤨😎  This would be the only way I know of getting a Vampire baby if neither parent is a Vampire if you don't have any Mods! 😉

Yikes, I'm so confused. I decided to plan another saved game. This one my sim is a Full Grand Master Vampire married to a human. They have two kids, 1 human girl and one vampire girl. Well one night I saw 3 weird tiny dots of light by the bottom of the door. I'm thinking what the heck is that. So does my vampire, now I'm thinking no,No,NO. Yes he was abducted and came back pregnant.And has a baby with alien cry and green skin (girl).Ok fine. Nope, this is where things get strange. I aged her up to toddler and was shocked to see in her needs bar the VAMPIRE symbol. WHAT!!!! So I aged her up twice to teen to see what I got. Here it is. Alien form green with alien voice and no hair. Her disguise is alien skin, hair and human voice, wait thats not all. She also has her vampire form with hair and vampire teeth. And she has the needs of a vampire. Ok, I'm going to go play this game now and see what other crazy things happen.

@Behappy1st, thanks for sharing your new findings! 🤨 I would love to see pictures of this child (with and without the disguise and/or dark and light forms) from CAS, if you could please!  It sounds like they are really a Vampire with just some of the physical attributes of an Alien; if this is the case I would expect that she wouldn't have any Alien powers as a teen or adult, and just have the Vampire powers.

I think what is happening here (although I could be wrong) is that a Sim is only an Alien if they have Alien powers and they would only be a Vampire if they have Vampire needs and powers.  The denotation of their life state would be proved in CAS above their personality characteristics, as well as the marking around their Plumbobs in Live Mode.  Any other characteristics would just be superficial (such as teeth, voice, skin color, eyes, etc.)  This would happen because they are using genetic attributes from both parents, but they will only inherit the abilities and Life State on just one of their parents! 🤔

Please send pictures and update us on any findings!  I will provide updates on my family as they get more children and also test out your Sheridan family! 🙂

Strange game. I was playing and one of her 3 forms disappeared, what, so made her change form and 2nd form is gone. I wind up having a bald alien and in dark form she's still a bald alien but a vampire she can drink blood & do dark meditate and detect personality and empathize in alien form. I didn't like the weird things happening so I deleted this game saved the original again as, iI aged up again  and she's still a vampire and still has same power. I'm deleting it again and I'm going to play it normally. So it will take some time to see what happens. I'm a slow player, I don't know how to share picture so all I can do is share the family to gallery their name is Mivictum.

You can use a cheat to remove either the Vampire or Alien trait to make the game "behave". If you have the MCCC mod it has a feature to fix this.

 @Behappy1st, this explains what is going on in your game.  I know you don't use (or want to use) Mods, so you will have to use the cheat in order to make the game behave properly 😉 (or bite the bullet and just get this one Mod 🤨 ).  I would try the cheat first. 

*Also there are 2 ways to add pictures that you take in the game.  The easiest is to look right under the text box you type your posts to and you will see on the bottom right (but above the Submit button) a paperclip with a box and a button that says "Browse..." .  Click on the "Browse..." button and it will take you to your in-game pictures (if you have taken any) and then you can scroll to find the one you want.  You can add 3 pictures this way, but you wont see them until after you post.

*The second way lets you add as many pictures as you want, but it will add the pictures where ever you cursor is last located.  At the top of the text box that you post in there is a black bar that has formatting buttons like "B" for "bold" and the Emoji button with the smiley face.  Two buttons to the right of the Emoji button is the "Insert/edit image" button that is a square with a mountain and sun in it.  Click on that and will take you to your in game pictures.  Scroll through your pictures (like for the way you would in the first method) and then choose the picture you want.  This will then load a preview of that picture (on my computer it is just the top portion) but it will take a few moments to do so.  As soon as you see (part) of the picture, you then can click on the "Insert" button on the lower right corner and it will then load your picture in your post where ever you last had your cursor placed!  In this method you can see the picture before you Submit the post, and you can add more than 3 pictures that the other method limits you to.  I hope I explained this well enough! 😳  I think the 1st method is easier if you aren't that tech savvy or are in a hurry. 😉  Just one more note: pictures taken in game or in CAS will not show thought bubbles, or the display area, or (as in the case of CAS) the Vampire/Alien markers above the personality traits! To show pictures like this it is a much more complicated process which I don't even remember how to do completely! 😃

Thank you for that info. But I still can't do it because I stoped taking pictures a couple of months ago because there all upside down. And I recently noticed that when I add a house from the gallery or my saves while there being built the landscape is also upside down. I repaired the game 3 times no help. I looked online and saw it's being looked into. So I forgot about it for awhile and just check once in awhile. Very annoying because I really wanted some nice pictures.

Open the pictures in Paint  and rotate them.

What is paint? I'm not kidding I'm very bad in computers. I once took an aptitude test, in logic I scored 97 out of 100. But in mechanical(how things work) I scored a 27.LOL, I'm hopeless.

In windows 10 click start button and type Paint.

@Behappy1st, I understand!  I'm not very tech savvy myself despite being very good at science! 😳😃  I think if I lived with some one who really knows computers I could learn somewhat, at least more easily, but I really need to see it first hand to be sure I've grasped it!  And instant feedback is also important! 😉  

I hope (thanks to @jpkarlsen  😇 ) that with the Windows Paint program you are able to fix your picture problem! 🤞

I can't figure it out. I also have another problem my sims work performance bar has been stuck in the same position for days, not sim days my days.he needs to be focused, always goes to work, computer whiz. He plays the video games and I've tried chess but nothing is moving it. I've restarted the game saved it, but nothing works. No more promotions.

@Behappy1st, that is alright. While it is often helpful to include a picture, it isn't necessary.  😉  

I'm not sure about your other question. 🤔 The only thing I can think of is that your Sim hasn't completed their daily task (which sometimes can change upon their last promotion).  Some of the early levels of some of the careers have you play video games in order to fulfil your daily task, but when they reach a higher level it will change to something else, like practice computer programing for 2 hours.  It has happened to me where I didn't realize that his task had changed and he wouldn't get promoted.  

If it is not this, you can always repair your game through Origin. 🙂  If that doesn't do the trick, then you might have to post a separate thread since this one is about Aliens and Vampires having children together! 😉😃

@Behappy1st, so your Sims is top in their skill in video games and in programming. 🤔  Which career is he in exactly (and what branch of that career, if that applies to the situation)? Also, what is his current job level and where is the arrow on his performance meter at? 

His job is computer whiz and he chose the E Sports Gamer and he is at the highest level Champion Gamer.
