Just got the rewards event, and started playing and I already have issues. It says to plant snapdragon and lily and I have tried multiple times, inside and outside and the reward does not register. Other rewards such as ordering starter flower sees and researching ambrosia have worked yet gardening is still glitched.

Same for me, I also can't open the Event UI to unlock the Grimaphone either.
Gardening and summoning the Reaper won't complete.

Same! I even moved housed to a different neighborhood. I've not tried restarting the app or repairing the game yet, have you?
done both. I also removed all my mods and repaired the game, again. I haven't tried planting the flowers yet, but Grimmie won't come when summoned. It also won't let me repeat the summons. ☹️
I'm having the exact same issue. I've completed everything already except for planting the flowers. I've planted almost ten each at this point 😤
