removing festivals and holidays?

How do I remove festivals and holidays from the game? The popups are very annoying and on some days its even 4 events, can I customize the notifications? Like, having no more notifications about markets at all anymore? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately there is no way to do that via the game. There might be mods out there that will turn them off for you. I've never checked, though, since I try to use mods sparingly...
