Rock Climbing Event Issue (No Mods)

So I finally put effort into putting my sim reaching 10 in the rock climbing skill and when I try to plan it the location goes to "generic" and it ends up wasting my time waiting for it to load. I'm not sure what's going on. I put my sim on vacation thinking this would help, but it's not doing anything. It still says "generic".

    Have you tried repairing the game on the Origin games page?

    to do so, please right click on the game cover and select repair.


    If you are using mods, I would suggest disabling them if you'd like to do a base-game event.

    its a known bug you need to go to the bug forum and hit me to the more me tos it gets the faster they will fix it

    oh looks like the bug hasn't been reported after all but here's a link to the bug forum
    if your still having this bug you need to make a report so they can fix it when people also
    have the bug they hit me to the bugs that get the most me tos often get fixed first
