Sim can't continue or scrap writing book after sim laptop broke in the rain

Question

I had a sim's laptop break in the rain while the sim was writing and now I can't scrap or continue writing the book anywhere. I also couldn't repair the laptop, though this is less of an issue. When I try these interactions, it shows a rather odd icon so I've attached an image of that.

@honeytrait&nbsp;I did try selling it and also tried different computers. It's straight-up not working. If nothing works, I'll probably save him to my gallery then restart him.

@Estridde for some reasons I'm not able to see the image, but have you tried selling the laptop itself in build mode? It might reset what ever is causing the problem. If you haven't tried restarting the game that might fix the problem as well.
