Sketchpad Feedback

I don't know if this is the proper place to post feedback, it's the best I've been able to find. If there's a better place for it, please let me know!

The digital sketchpad has been a long time coming, but it's very strange how it's been implemented in the game. How come creating paintings costs simoleons? One of the biggest benefits to painting digitally is not having to spend money on materials! What is the sim spending this money on exactly? It makes no sense at all and is kind of immersion-breaking. I was pretty baffled to notice this now that I made a sim who uses these.

I can see the argument for it being OP compared to the easel - even though that's the way it is in reality... there could be a trade-off. For example, the sketchpad could create paintings for free, but the paintings will sell for less money? The sketchpad itself could also be more expensive to buy in the first place, perhaps. I think this would reflect real life pretty well.

I don't know if the tablet can break in the game like a computer does, but that could also be a flaw to it. If there needs to be more cost-related flaws, an additional one could be a small occasional fee for painting software, or if you want to hang pictures on the wall you have to pay for a print.

At the end of the day, it's hard to get away from that digital sketchpads are just more practical and cost-effective overall... that's why so many artists use them!
