After installing the Gramophone of Death, I tried to summon the God of Death but accidentally canceled the action. After that, even if you press the gramophone, the button to call the Grim Reaper does not appear. Can't I call the Grim Reaper? ㅠㅠ

I never got the option to call the grim reaper and the dude has been at my house… just hanging out. Lol. I tried selling the grimophone and buying a new one and I’ve had no luck. I’ve tried restarting the game also… nothing has worked so far.
In reaper rewards event on sims 4 on console. I summoned the reaper and socialized with him for a while then my sim went to the toilet and came back he was gone. The grimaphone says summoning grim reaper is unavailable and can't be summoned again. I tried with a different family still cant find him or summon him. I even deleted the grimaphone and placed a new one still he won't appear anymore even tried new game. Now I can't get my reward so angry! Why is there bugs in the event at all if we don't complete the tasks that keep going missing as well shouldn't EA give those rewards to us anyway? If the week is finished and we didn't claim them they should let us have them anyway so we won't miss out!

- @tigerrun777 Im having the same issue today and have also tried a new game, replaced the grimaphone and restarted with and without saving. I am playing with mods but even with the disabled I cannot summon him and after trying a few times it says he is unavailable to summon.

I ran into the same issue after I had already completed that part of the mission during week 1. The quests had disappeared as they were completed, but when I logged after week 2 started those quests were back. So I did them again and the new quests came up, but I didn't complete them before I turned off the game. When I logged in again the newsletter task and the call grim task were back for a third time. I figured out that the grimophone won't work unless the game sees the newsletter as being read since that technically should happen before you can get the grimophone. Once I did that I was able to complete both tasks again.
One caveat is that the sim I have been using for the quest was unable to get the newsletter again by herself. I had to get another household member to request the newsletter through the mailbox. But once it arrived my original sim was able to get it from the mailbox and complete the task.Please also note that you cannot have any mods in the mods folder. I tried just leaving them all there and turning off mods and cc through the game settings but for some reason I can't understand the event quests would not work unless I completely took all mods out of the folder.
It's pretty frustrating to have to go through all this trouble to complete these tasks. I think the concept is far more fun that the first log in even and the interactions with grim is pretty cool. But these bugs are making it more of a chore to access the limited items than a fun side story. I don't expect them to fix it by the end of this event cause I've learned not to hold my breath when it comes to bug fixes, but if they do another event I hope it runs better than this.
