A Llama Or a Cow?

I've played Erik Cantrell so often, but he's mostly only had chickens. This time around when I built his house, I gave him, again, a Chicken Coop, but also made room for the animal shed, which has been in place since they moved in. I didn't anticipate triplets but that's what I got. For once I'm playing it through anyway. It's tough going having the four Toddlers (their older brother was just a Toddler when they came into this world.) Their mother is now expecting another child. Yet, the animal shed remains empty.

Erik has a modest garden of crops. Eventually, I hope they will cook food with fresh ingredients, only.

So, what you you think?

Can't decide as I need and want both! My sims farm to live a self-sustainable life so they use and need the eggs from chickens, milk from cows, and, as they usually knit and/or count cross stitch, they need the yarn made from shearing the llama! And, of course, they really love all the animals!
  • Yes. I have updated my story. He got the cow, but is still considering if he has room for a Llama for a future time.
  • I would always choose the farm animal that produces ingredients, and I do that in other farming games with animals like Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons/Rune Factory, etc.

I like having my characters cook stuff for themselves, families and friends, and/or selling the ingredients/cooked foods.

It's a matter of room. Want the Child Sims (Toddlers will be aging up soon) to be able to have backyard campouts. That's why the swimming pool is in the basement. ;)

In that case I say cow. They are moovelous and they produce that wonderous substance known as milk.
  • I also vote for the cow, if you want to eventually produce your own fresh ingredients. A llama is good too, for the wool, if your sims like to knit.
