A question about what you have your werewolves do/go when their fury gets the better of them

The first time my werewolf wolfed out, was at her home. Boy oh boy was it a mess, fortunately, she was the only one who lived in the home, so no damage was done to any of her relationships. But it did get me to thinking, now that she is married, to a vampire of all people, different ways to keep the peace in the family during those times.

Since I can't control the wolf when they wolf out.

Have a room that I could lock her in to keep them away from the rest of the family.

Send her out and about, but that might get old after a while, or might not be feasible due to circumstances.

Any other ideas?
  • Eventually they can control it, I think that's how it works, but right now it's hard. The fury is constantly ticking up so each night has seen a rampage. I just let my wolf run outside, they'll race around the neighbourhood without damaging anything.
Actually locking in a room might be an idea.
  • When my sim transformed she'd just woken up. So I clicked pause, went in to BB and moved her bedroom door to a hall wall. Since she only had a bed in there (insufficient funds) she only did a lot of howling & bed scratching. Thankfully when I clicked on the bed there was an option to fix scratches at no cost.
  • It kinda depends on which lot is active. My sim lost it twice when I played (once from natural fury build, once from Full Moon) the first time, her home lot was active, and I was able to get her to spend most of her time around howling point without doing much.

The second time, she started at the bar. Several werewolves were at the bar. Several non Werewolves were at the bar.

There were a lot of beat up sims.

Unless they get the one where they don't like being indoors. They're fury would get worse if you lock them up.

My Werewolf has that temperament and the fist thing I do is send him outside to just sniff and search stuff and howl. Being inside makes it worse it seems.

A fenced-in yard helps with this.

My werewolf scared her roommate, scratched up her bed, and went running around the neighborhood. She came across Nina Caliente fishing and I instigated a fight. My were won, naturally, heh heh.
  • The first time I didn't yet realize this, but soon enough I started to understand that you can still control the rampaging werewolf, but only about wolf things. They won't understand anything human-like, or interactive objects.

You can still click on ground and tell them where to go, and if you have Scavenger ability, you can tell them to Scavenge Ground, and keep them busy doing that the whole rampage time. That's how I did my werewolf's Transformation Mastery, just had her transform outside on home lot and stay busy digging up stuff through the whole rampage. No roommates, no one saw her, easy Dormant Ability activation. Of course if your werewolf does not live alone you might want to pick some other lot for it.

If on home lot, it's always a good thing to make sure your werewolf is outside before transforming and then just lock them out, just in case.

Later on my werewolf had learned The Will to Resist ability and had the option to stop the rampage: option in the Werewolf wheel on clicking the sim.
  • My werewolf is clearly lacking in the fury department then. The first time she was at the bar and she just stood there not interacting at all, I could make her howl or snarl at other sims but left to her own devices she was pretty much a statue.
The second time she was in her greenhouse and again just stood there doing nothing.

I assumed it was broken TBH!

My Sim did the same, but I have autonomy off so that might be the reason. I will have to try with autonomy on next time, see what she does.
