Even though butterflies are only in Gibbi Point, raising caterpillars to get each type, is a steady way to gain Entomology without leaving the house/lot. If you aren't "trying" to gain the skill, have one caterpillar incubator, and just keep raising each type, it is a slowburn household hobby. You don't have to worry about it being fed (that is optional for faster incubating)/neglected/irritated.
I still think Sims 4 should have an all world update to allow catchable insects and butterflies in all worlds, but for now I have been enjoying this as a backburner hobby.
They can be found in BB catalog, so we can place them on any lot we like. I typically placed butterflies in parks and moths on graveyards, but not all sorts in all worldes because I like the idea of them having specific habitats.
