So, there is a lot inside the old ruins of Windenburg. I like that place, but I hardly ever go there, so I consider using that lot for something.Wondering if the lot tag "Ancient ruins" do trigger any specific actions or features that I will miss? Is this one of the random party event lots? I still have the Bluff... My plan is to turn the ruins lot into a cemetery, and I can keep the lot traits/category of ancient ruins. But will the category mean the game will throw parties at the cemetery? Would actually be fun if the lot was larger... What did you use the ancient ruin lot for? Do you still have the original version, or did you replace content and tags?

I only go there for parties, when invited. And i still have the original one.

@Simmerville It is still the ancient ruins. Once I wanted to change the Von-Haunt Estate's lot type to residental and it didn't work since the lot type can not be changed. It is locked. I actually think the ruins can not be changed to anything else either. Bummer. I am pretty sure this lot type triggers parties. I built a cemetery in Newcrest. It is a museum. It is a church actually. The graves are placed in front of the build. Then there is a room in basement that consists of the lot type's necessities. The room does not have any door. I have it so I can throw weddings there.

I plan to have one cemetery in each world, already have them organized in Willow Creek, Oasis S., Newcrest, San Myshuno etc. Windenburg is the only world where graves are allowed to be kept at home, but thinking of changing that... As lot category is stuck, I'll consider the tiny park in the modern quarter instead.

Wait, we can edit the Ancient Ruins and add stuff to the lot? I thought we couldn't touch it.

I changed the full lot and turned it into a wedding venue under the generic lot type.

Yes, but only the tiny lot in the back. It's still possible to customize it, though.

this is great news. So I can add a BBQ, campfire, and tents to make it a campground??? I have been playing Sims 4 since the beginning and never knew this. I always thought that the Ancient Ruins and Von Haunt Estate were uneditable in any way so I never even tried. lol

That's what I've done with a tent, campfire, cooler and added a little more to the swampy swimming pool, I made it into a hot springs. :) It's for my sims to come and sleep and eat after partying at the bluffs. Perfect.

I've viewed it as a historical site. But given, it's really not considered as such in-game.

A shame the way it's done. I'd like to be able to conduct archealogical digs there. I really need to get Jungle Adventure; just for that feature. But, from what I'm reading, it can only be done in Selvadorada.

Ah, looks very nice! Did you re-categorize the lot, or is it still ancient ruins? And do you now whether the category is what trigger those parties?

windenburg special lots be perfect to build things but can't change lot type without mods so rip have not changed them since i realized that
