Anyone else put a family with a teen in it on hold until HSY?

The daughter in my Glass family just aged up into a teen and I put that family on hold so I can explore the new pack with her. I mean, they do have a son who is currently in the child stage so I could have technically explore the new pack with him, but I wasn't thinking that far ahead.

Edit: spelling errors, proofreading is my friend.

I have a family with a teen that I've been neglecting since Parenthood. But I am going to come back and try to raise a baby to a teen by Thursday with another family.

I actually have a family where the triplets will be aging up in a day or so that I've decided to hold off on playing until HSY drops.
  • No ? I was planning on having a teen in time for the pack but I got peps so bad I couldn’t continue my saves, the meant to be teens are still toddlers ?. I guess I’ll create a new family

  • Since I lost all my saves a few months ago, The families have been on "overdrive" anyways to rebuild my worlds. So I'm NOT holding off on teens aging up. There will be plenty by the time the pack comes around.

But I did think about it. ;)
  • I created a new game focusing on what I'm calling the Tri-City area; Brindleton Bay, Newcrest, and Moonwood Mill. There is a park, a nightclub, a gym, an art center, and a library. All the other lots are residential, and all are inhabited with families that have at least one teen. No one lives anywhere else, other than vacation areas. Basically, Willow, Oasis, Del Sol etc don't exist for the sims in my game. Kind of creates a realer living experience (for the way I play, anyway), and looking forward to my teen having lots of other teens to interact with.
  • My Thorpe save is on hold, as there are a few teens in that save. Of course, right now all my regular saves are on hold until the aging bug goes away! I use normal and aging off, but I'm taking zero chances lol.
  • I'm playing a Flashback save, since I wanted to experience high school with my Global Superstar, Rock Star. I decided to play with aging off so that he could earn his fame. Erik got to the top of the heap while a Teen in just ten Sims days. Suffer me to say, he's hot stuff. In his YA Self in my Main Save, he has six children and has been married to his high school sweetheart for all of this time. He just won his twentieth Starlight Accolade for Best Song. So, yeah, integrating his high school antics into the main story could be fun.

I play on Long, but I still don't want anybody aging up prematurely. I've already lost Sims in this save. Tragically. Playing was rough going for awhile. For right now, I'm just getting my Flashback save ready. Five more days of summer to go and the game comes out tomorrow. :open_mouth:
