Best World for Medieval save

Hi everyone! What neighborhood would be the best for playing Historical themes such as Medieval and Tudor. Im very grateful if you can also explain why do you think your choise would be the best fit for Medieval save.
  • Another option that you might consider is using different worlds for different generations. Many people moved during medieval times. A different religion than your leader might be something to push you out, a famine, being the third/fourth or fifth child might be a good reason to move and settle elsewhere, soldiers often travelled far and wide and women were often married off to people living far away (at least if they were rich). That way you're not locked into one world, but could use multiple ones.
  • Henford or a few parts of Windenburg, the area near the gym and nightclub wouldn't be possible.
Honestly I just want a world like sims3 Dragon Valley. With all the painted in fake houses it's just not possible anymore to make a truly historical save and it's getting worse with each world they bring out.

To me, Windenburg will always tie with Henford. <3 <3
  • Definitely Henford-on-Bagley, but I guess certain parts of Windenburg could work too. I hope you're planning on buying the Medieval build kit once it releases because I think it'll make your save more, well, medieval. ✨?✨

Personally I think the Island of windenburg is good a choice and I think Glimmerbrook is good for a small medival world too, because both lack of modern things, which disturb the immersion. HoB isn't a good choice because of the environmental cars everywhere. And the town itself looks like a Disney theme park. If you could rebuild the center, than it would be okay, but that's not possible.

Thank you everyone for the answers! So many great ideas. Im gonna go with Windenburg Henford combo, both of them shall have a theme. Im thinking of quasi-fantasy type of save. Maybe I will come up with some kind of challenge around this.

@LeucosiaX Yes, I was thinking about Glimmerbrook too, but that is too small for my intentions of having rotational save. It´s still definitely part of the theme tough, can serve as side story place.

@Lenny_Ogg thanks for the inspiring photos, they are beatiful! Both of those worlds looks so nice in the winter, magical.

@LiELF I agree and the small neighborhoods like Glimmerbrook and werewolf world can work as exellent extensions to this save.

@Amapola76 thoses are good ideas too, having shops and other community lots in other worlds will work very well with this. I was thinking of placing apotechary/potion shop in glimmerbrook etc.

@Boomey yes, the Knights definitely work with this theme, thanks for reminding me that they are there!

@Scrapdash I miss Dragon Valley too, it was so beautiful.

@CAPTAIN_NXR7 I love the idea of having Pirates in Sulani, I will definitely adopt that and make some in this save!

I started a challenge based on this, you can find it here if you like the theme:

  • I haven't played a medieval save myself yet, but I would also go with Henford or Windenburg. I have a hard time actually deciding between them. I think it depends more on what kind of medieval play you want (countryside or town). Brindleton, Newcrest and Willow Creek are far too modern in my book. I do also think Glimmerbrook, but then that's also a very small world. You could of course combine the three, set your family in for example Henford but have them travel into Windenburg for things like market days and church.

I would build in Henford-on-Bagley using Get Together build mode content.
Windenburg has great content, but for the world, it's too modern.
  • Windenburg or Henford on Bagley. I use HoB for my historical saves.
