Can’t get into the game at all[solved]

So, since midnight I can’t get I to the game at all. The screen gets stuck by the start page where The Sims team announces that they are aware of the problem with aging in game. When I then try to get past that message the game gets stuck.

This didn’t happen before they announced this and everything worked fine yesterday.

Does anyone else experience this issue since today?
