Can’t plan event at restaurant
Why isn’t it possible to plan a wedding event for rehearsal dinner or engagement dinner at a restaurant?

You can throw other types of parties (including original BG weddings) at restaurants, so I think it's just an oversight.
Normally they just pick tables as close to the original one as possible if there is overflow. Setting up a separate function room for parties is usually a good plan.
