Changing a Sim in CAS and Life States question

Is there a way to bring a Sim back into CAS (via the cheat to do so), and make them an other than "normal" Sim? Like turn them into a mersim or a magic user, etc.? I know how to create a sim in CAS ...

@DaWaterRat I'm on a PC. And thank you so much for telling me that cheat!

@Elliandre personally, I think they do it just because they're happy, heh. And yeah, the tail flapping in the bathtub IS cute too!
Their singing is beautiful, yes!
