Seems like everyone's games have exciting deaths. Mine can be struck by lightning, fix electrical equipment in the pouring rain and nothing happens, no one dies from laughing too much or being too excited. They all just make it to extremely extremely old age and then finally lay down and die.
How do everyone else's people die. Do you have to have them in extreme hunger first or....?
I don't play with mods, and I've never had an emotional death, but that's in part because I don't go out of my way to try and cause them. That said, I have killed off a ton of bothersome NPCs, and freezing and heat exhaustion are the quickest and most efficient way to dispose of them. Dress them in their summer or winter clothes on a freezing or heat-wave day (depending on the season), order them to cloudgaze, and they're dead in an hour or two. Much faster than drowning them, although I do have a pool for that.
Elders, I kill off the fun way—have them work out until they get the critically exhausted moodlet, then woohoo them until they shove off.

In my own experiments, I've found that a sim who cooks while inspired doesn't start fires. Along the same lines, sims who paint or write at low levels while inspired also tend to produce Excellent quality works, so I think the game takes into account the "right" emotion for whatever skill is being built.

I want exciting deaths!!
All I'm going to say is, be careful what you wish for. I was once in your shoes. The streak broke when I had not one, but two emotional deaths at the very same Event. My YA Global Superstar, Erik Cantrell, had decided to throw his very first Charity Event at the bar in Oasis Springs. So, since he needed to collect a set number of Simoleons, he of course invited the richest Sims he knew. Among the guests were his only sister and her new husband. Erik told his brother-in-law a joke, surprised to see that his half-Vulcan relative was also imbibing. The joke was so bad that on top of the drink, Spock was suddenly laughing so hard — and then he was clutching at his heart. He fell dead in moments. Tragic! (I had mixed feelings about this, I have to say, but realized I would likely just start over. Thrilled, too, that finally, finally I had experienced a death other than that of Old Age. Yay.)

I tried my best to carry on with this game save, to roll with the punch, but Erik was left with the custody of his identical twin Toddler nephews. And his currently on again, off again girlfriend was next to no help at all. Erik, a Rock Star, was totally in over his head. I began to worry that Social Services would come and take the twins away. He couldn't get them to eat. It was pitiful. So, I rolled back the save to when the twins were just born.
But, it didn't stop there. Suddenly, Erik was the target Sim. For reasons I'll never comprehend, he died an hysterical death, twice, and was set to die a third time, which is when I scrapped that save to start anew. It's truly a bad and unhappy thing when the game turns against you. :open_mouth:
So, while I do hope you get to experience a death other than Old Age you could try to orchestrate one. If you have a Sim who gets shocked trying to fix something electrical, go ahead and send them back while dazed to complete the job. Sure-fire death.
hahaha oh dear. By the way your Spock is amazing looking
I'm going to try not to over manage and let them get hungry, tired angry, and overworked. Maybe something will occur. I probably regret it lol.
The only thing that has ever happened was non player sims on a previous game a long time ago. A sim I played was at the gym during a blizzard, she went outside to go home and all these other sims about 6 of them for some mad reason all ran outside and pretty much instantly froze to death in seconds. The only time I've had the unexpected happen.
It was actually quite horrific, they all keeled over like unsteady iceblocks! :open_mouth:
Other than a mod blocking it, my guess is that you are too careful. (Like me). Also, autonomously they (The Sims) will prevent a death. Even with autonomy shut off, though that gives a higher chance of a death occurring. I've seen many NPC's go to a mirror to calm down. (For example).
For an exciting death (and kinda sad) Here you go:

ohhh I felt sorry for her!
Oh dear, I think I am not cut out to have my sims die! hahahahaha
There were several ways this could have been stopped. But like I said, I let it play through. It was right after a patch update and I realised I needed to update a mod or two. Didn't save the game. I've never seen a fire death so when it started, let it play out.
Kat Prowler is someone I dl'ed off the gallery. Spent all day tracking down most of her CC stuff. Anyways, she hit it off with George Cahill, (They are both 'dastardly', so have alot in comon, haha!) so I think they may end up getting married eventually? lol!
The underground bunker so far... https://i.imgur.com/CXGatjj.png
-Could have had George come in and extinguish the fire early. I actually cancelled his autonomous reaction early to put her out and the fire. -Could have called the fire department -Could have had Kat try to put herself out. -Too late at this point, had fire alarms in, but forgot to put in a fire suppression system. DOH!
One thing I'm curious about now though is if someone is on fire, and there is a pool or pond or even a swimable river, lake, or ocean, can they run into the water to put themselves out?

Thank you so much. He's my all-time favorite fictional character. Leonard Nimoy put his heart and soul into creating that character and it shows. I don't much care for the 'new' version of Spock. The actor is fine, but they pulled what was unique about Spock being half-human/half-Vulcan out and left him a dull boy. Too emotional and not enough discipline over them. Not logical enough. It's a balance thing.

Would be 'fascinating' if a Spock Sim died from too much "Focused" mood. R.I.P. Spock - Death by being too logical ;) EDIT: Technically that was why Spock died in Star Trek II. To save the ship, it was logical for him to sacrifice himself for the needs of the many. :)
