Dim Interior Lighting (Easy Fix - NOT a glitch)

I noticed when my sims first entered the game and the house that the lighting was so dark. I was afraid there wasn't anything I could do about it. It is not a glitch. The easy fix I found (don't laugh...

I found that the lighting worked grate once I took it off laptop mode...When laptop mode is on then it didn't matter how many lights I put on the sims would be dark.... Now I have about the same amount of windows and lights as I used in sims 3 and it's well lit up
