I do have maid service in the household where it's disappeared twice. hmmm....
But yah, I'm sure it isn't a save issue. In 2 of the 3 instances we're talking about a tea set that was there for several days of real time, with many saves and exits and also quite a few uses of the tea set. My sims drink a lot of tea and I like the tea set better than the electric brewer because I can pore 6 cups and then just grab as desired.
